Intent

Rise Carr intends to:

  • create a personalised curriculum that meets the needs of the students, with the expectation that KS4 students follow GCSE and alternative qualifications up to level 2
  • provide a personalised educational experience for all our students
  • enable them to achieve their personal success
  • become productive, resilient, responsible members of our local community

  • re-engagement with education through achievement
  • ensuring each individuals learning journey meets their needs
  • effective guidance to prepare for transition for a return to home school, new educational setting, Post 16 education, training or employment

Implementation

Rise Carr will provide students with:

  • quality teaching and learning
  • teachers plan sequenced lessons and assessment to develop students with a depth of knowledge
  • assessment and tracking against the exam learning outcomes and success criteria
  • a personalised curriculum to meet all students needs and interests
  • baseline assessments so that all students have a clear starting point

Impact

  • Students will leave Rise Carr with the necessary skills and knowledge that they will then be able to apply upon their return to their home school, to new educational setting  or in further education, training or work place
  • KS4 Students will leave Rise Carr with qualifications at up to level 2 in subjects that will give them the best starting point when they leave school
  • Positive progression to their next steps
