Information for Employers

We are keen to develop links with local employers in order to give our pupils work related learning experience during their time at Rise Carr College. We work closely with the Tees Valley Combined Authority to identify events and activities that will allow pupils to gain a better understanding of the world of work.

If you or your colleagues would like to support us with this important work, please contact us.

Technical and Further Education Act 2017

Under this act we are required to ensure there is an opportunity for a range of education and training providers to access pupils during the relevant phase of their education for the purpose of informing them about approved technical education qualifications or apprenticeships.

Please see our Provider Access policy which sets out our arrangements for managing the access of providers to pupils, for the purposes of giving them information about the provider’s education or training offer. This complies with the school’s legal obligations under Section 42B of the Education Act 1997.

Our Safeguarding policy recognises that all adults, including temporary staff, volunteers and governors, have a full and active part to play in protecting our pupils from harm, and that the child’s welfare is our paramount concern. All visitors taking part in careers related activities must produce a copy of their enhanced DBS and photo id on arrival in school. If they are unable to do this their activity may be cancelled if we are not able to provide them with a member of Rise Carr College staff who will accompany them at all times.

If you have any queries please contact our Careers Lead, Kirsty Dunn.
