Fire Station Road Safety Awareness
On Tuesday 19th November a group of Rise Carr College learners visited Darlington Fire Station as part of the Fire Services scheme to raise awareness of issues raised by car theft and joy riding. The students looked at the work done by the Fire Service and particularly what happens when an individual is involved in a road traffic accident and has to be cut out of a vehicle. The learners experienced this first had and took part in practical activities as can be seen in the photographs below.
